Jay-Z Named 11th Most Influential Man

Six years removed from his initial (and brief) "retirement" from rap music, Jay-Z still packs a solid punch as one of the industry's heavyweights. The early months of 2009 were a period of career transition for Jay-Z, as he left his longtime record company, Def Jam, in favor of a fresh start with Live Nation. The resulting album wasThe Blueprint 3, released almost eight years to the day of his original Blueprintbreakthrough. His new album, coproduced by Kanye West and Timbaland, features additional guest appearances from Alicia Keys and Kid Cudi. The Blueprint 3 was Jay-Z's 11th album to hit the No. 1 spot on the Billlboard 200 charts, breaking Elvis Presley's previous record for the most chart-topping albums.
